Description

The GEOMAX MB53F and MB53R were engineered with roll speed as the primary objective, applying the same performance-first philosophy that defines Dunlop’s Geomax MX program. Drawing from motocross tread development where acceleration and efficiency are critical, the MB53 platform was built to feel fast, fluid, and controlled at high pace.
Both front and rear patterns were intentionally designed to deliver a slightly looser, more progressive “drift” character while maintaining forward momentum. The result is a tire that encourages speed without sacrificing precision.
Up front, the MB53F features strategically distributed open spacing to support weight on hardpack while still allowing enough edge engagement to bite into intermediate terrain. The pattern promotes smooth steering input and predictable feedback at higher speeds.
Out back, the MB53R utilizes offset knob distribution to maintain roll efficiency at every lean angle. Transition knobs are tuned for smooth engagement, delivering controlled slides and progressive traction as the rider loads the rear tire under braking or acceleration.
Enduro / Soft
Leaning slightly more towards the DH compound than a standard enduro, this compound strikes a exceptional balance of grip and roll speed. When utilized as the rear compound on the MB34R Enduro, this compound helps to support the rider weight more efficiently and allows for more roll speed, a major plus on analog and lightweight eMTB’s.
Enduro Speed / Soft-Medium
When speed is what you’re after, Dunlop’s Enduro Speed compound delivers the goods. With a firmer and faster rebound rubber, the Enduro Speed stays on top of the surface allowing you to effortlessly maintain or generate speed at will. Despite these characteristics, the MB53R tires do not sacrifice a significant amount of traction when it comes to braking and overall handling control.
